BOY CHOKES TO DEATH
Police are investigating the death of a 13-year-old boy who choked on a hot dog during an eating contest to raise money for Haiti.
The boy, along with 12 other kids, paid $ 1 to take part in the hot dog eating game, that was one of the activities along with musical chairs and dance contest. That happened in San Pedro,Los Angeles.
CHARLIE SHEEN'S CAR CRASH
Charlie Sheen's Mercedes-Benz was reported stolen and found crashed at bottom of cliff. Los Angeles City firefighters along with two helicopter crews searched the area for possible crash victms, but none were found.
Charlie Sheen had parked the car inside an open garage in his home in a gated community.
The LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) is investigating the case as an auto theft.
HAVE SOMETHING DONE
We use have something done to say that we arrange for somebody else to do sth for us.
Situation 1 - Nicolas repaired the roof of the house. (He repaired it himself)
Situation 2 - Nicolas had the roof of the house repaired. (He arranged for somebody else to repair it)
Examples:
